To the people who insist Roxas, Xion and/or Ventus can’t return (but mostly the first two)
Was initially going to be a response to this, but decided it deserved its own post.
I don’t know how Ansem the Wise’s speech in the ending of KH3D seems to fly over so many people’s heads. Here, let me post it again and bold the relevant parts.
Yes. A clue, I hope, to finding yourselves or your lost friends in your hour of need. The heart has always been quick to grow. Each exposure to light, to the natural world, to other people, shapes this most malleable part inside of us. Nobodies are not different from us in that manner. Sora was the only one able to return to his human form without destroying his Nobody. That is a statement to the love in his heart for other people, and the bonds that tie them together. Perhaps…he has the power to bring back the hearts and existences of those connected to him— to recreate people we thought were lost to us forever. Our most precious treasures—even an empty puppet—the trees of the forest, and the petals on the wind—there are hearts around us everywhere we look. And it does not take superhuman powers to see them. Surely we remember as children the way our hearts made everything seem so shiny, and perfect. Sora has a heart like that—uncorrupted, willing to see the good before the bad. When he sees the heart in something, it then becomes real. When a connection seems broken, he may have the power to mend it. He has touched countless hearts, he has accepted them, and he has saved them. And some of those hearts have never left him—whether they fell into darkness or were trapped there—whether they sleep in the darkness of Sora’s heart, or were welcomed into its warmth—they can be saved. All Sora needs to do is be himself and follow wherever it is that his heart takes him. It is the best and the only way. The rest is in there.
tl;dr Roxas and Xion did grow their own hearts; when freaking Xemnas and Xigbar both (!) admit as much without any hint of lying (since they were mostly waiting for Sora to come to that conclusion), there’s no reason to deny it. Such a thing has been implied since at least KH2FM (mostly concerning Axel and Roxas), and probably even the start of the series (Pinocchio).
I have every reason to believe the “Key to Return Hearts*” mentioned in the press release is going to play a big role in bringing back the three of them without Sora himself being harmed.
*was that actually English or translated from Japanese?
Does anyone have (or otherwise know) the original source for this icon? I found it on Dreamwidth. Neither Google nor IQDB nor Saucenao have given me any reasonable results, and manually searching through pixiv doesn’t help either.
Great, so GameFAQs is arguing over this again. Call to Japanese speakers/anyone who’s actually studied the language: who or what does this line refer to? They keep insisting Axel because of the added scene from FM and use the English voice track as their support, but…English is only used because of the Disney characters, not to fix possible translation errors or whatnot.
I would assume ‘chosen by the keyblade’ because of ‘why did the keyblade choose me’ line in the prologue/the constant talk of the keyblade choosing its master/Roxas’s own identity issues etc. The fight is basically him unleashing his anger over everything that’s ever happened to him; Axel’s death just happened to be the final straw/actual trigger for it.
I just want some confirmation for this, this constant arguing and stubbornness on their end is getting frustrating.
Also, what’s it translate to in other dubbed languages? (German/French/Spanish/Italian, I think?) Did they use English as a basis or was it translated directly from Japanese?
An eternal, undying bird. Its tears are rumored to have curative properties, and it is said that he who tastes the Phoenix’s blood will have eternal life.
Phoenix description from Dissidia. Does anyone have the Japanese equivalent? Someone on the translation team was evidently a big Harry Potter fan (the healing tears thing), and I want to see if that’s also in the JP original, or if it was dropped into the EN version.
i hate the niggas on these emulator forums that are like “blEh bLEh BlEH!! waiT UNTil da 3ds sTOps beiN sOLd!!! bleh BLEH!! or JusT go Out ANd buy dA THIng!!!!! We neeD 2 SUPPOrt da gamiNG cOMpaniES!!!! BLEEEEEGHGHGEHEHEHJDBDHDB!!!!!!” get the fuck over yourselves these niggas is makin so much…
…all whatever-the-hell-you’re-trying-to-say aside, there is no working 3DS emulator, and there probably won’t be for years.
So I’m looking for pictures of phoenixes, firebirds, etc. on pixiv, but all I run into is anthros/gijinka/whatever you want to call them (and stuff that I’ve never seen before and is probably unrelated!?)…how do I get this thing to specifically search for the bird??? You know, like this.
